Student Update Forms
Ensuring our school has current family contact and student health information is an important part of ensuring our duty of care. It is also an important part of maintaining positive partnerships and relationships between home and school (Strategic Pathway 3).
Today, students will be bringing home Student Update Forms. We ask parents/carers to review the information on the form, update (if required) and return to school by next Friday 9 May. If no updates are required, please indicate this and return the form.
Forms can be returned to the classroom teacher or to the Administration Office.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
The Premier’s Reading Challenge is a literacy engagement program which aims to encourage students to read more books for enjoyment, and to improve literacy levels.
Reading helps children make sense of the world around them. It builds curiosity, enhances their imagination, and is a wonderful source of entertainment. By making time each day to either read with your child, or by encouraging them to read, parents/carers are making a difference to their child’s literacy.
The challenge is to read and log twelve (12) or more books before Friday 27 June. Each week, students who log their reading will automatically go in the draw to win a prize.
Our school encourages all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge. You can help your child sign-up, or update their details, via the website – www.premiersreadingchallenge.wa.edu.au.
