Celebrating Learning

As we approach the end of semester, our staff are busy finalising student reports, which will be distributed next week. These reports provide a valuable snapshot of each child’s progress and achievement so far this year, and are an opportunity to celebrate student successes.

At the same time, our classrooms remain full of energy, curiosity and learning. From targeted teaching and hands-on learning to collaborative problem-solving and inquiry-based projects, our students continue to engage deeply in their learning.

Incursions and excursions play a valuable role in enriching our learning programs by providing students with hands-on, real-world experiences that deepen understanding and engagement.

Last week, our Kindy and Pre-Primary students enjoyed a visit from Farmyard on Wheels. They met a variety of animals including Dexter the dog, Henrietta Hen, Cornflakes the rabbit and Humphrey the horse. Students had the opportunity to bottle feed some kids and lambs, and hold a three-week-old chick.

Our Year 3 students spent last Friday exploring Perth Zoo as part of their learning in biologiocal sciences. Students investigated the animals of Australia’s wetlands, practised identifying and classifying different species, and learnt about the zoo’s conservation efforts.
