Celebrating Learning

NAIDOC Week 2025

As part of our school’s NAIDOC Week celebrations, we were proud to showcase a special display of student learning that honoured and explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and contributions. Thank you to those in the school community who were able to share and explore the display on the final day of Term 2.

The student work on display reflected a deepening understanding of the importance of Country and Place, identity, storytelling, and cultural perspectives—key concepts embedded within the Western Australian Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priority of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures. Through guided inquiry, artistic expression, historical exploration, and reflective writing, students demonstrated their growing respect for the world's oldest continuing culture.

Art Club with Mrs Lindsay

In Art Club students created stained glass inspired artworks. They began by developing design and selecting a colour scheme, then transferred their outline onto glass. The piece was completed with careful painting and black glue outlining to replicate the appearance of traditional stained glass. Well done on your fantastic efforts everyone.
