Semester 1 Reports
A reminder to families that Semester 1 Reports are available on Connect.
In these reports, teachers provided a professional judgement regarding the level of achievement demonstrated by each student. Judgements are made against achievement standards outlined in the Western Australian Curriculum.
In addition to learning area grades, teachers have provided a general comment covering your child’s engagement in learning, areas of strength/growth, and on your child’s social/emotional progress and development. Please be aware that it is not possible to comment on all outcomes – teachers will focus on the aspects of learning which are most important.
Parents who wish to discuss their child’s report are welcome to make an appointment to meet with the class teacher in Term 3. Translators can be engaged to support Parent/Teacher meetings if required.
Prefect Fundraiser
Term 2’s Prefect Fundraiser was a great success, raising an impressive $8,000! These funds will go directly toward purchasing new picnic tables and chairs for our school grounds, enhancing our outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy. A huge thank you to all families who supported the Dance-a-thon and made this incredible result possible.
Congratulations to Tom, the lucky winner of our raffle prize of $200 and Room 5, Tjunguri students who raised the most money and enjoyed an extra ten minutes of play on the last Friday of the term.
This term, the Prefects will be promoting the annual Market Day run by our Year 6 students. Stay tuned for details!
Traffic Safety – Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Schools can be hectic places during drop-off and pick-up times. It is at these times we require support from our school community to ensure student safety.
Please remember the Kiss and Drive zone in Coode Street is not a parking zone at the start and end of the school day. Parents are encouraged to use the marked bays on Alston Avenue, or to use the carpark behind the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Parents/Carers should NOT:
- Use the staff carpark
- Park in bike lanes
- Park on the private property of our neighbours
Council Rangers attend regularly to monitor the situation and can issue fines.
Our school website has information for parents on keeping our Kiss and Drive area safe and running smoothly - https://www.comoprimaryschool.wa.edu.au/parent-information/kiss-and-drive/
