Supporting Online Safety
Supporting children to stay safe and thrive online is an important part of our role as educators and as parents. The eSafety Commissioner offers a range of free, practical resources to help families manage some of the most common challenges faced in today’s digital world.
These resources cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Managing screen time and healthy device use
- Setting boundaries around online gaming and social media
- Dealing with cyberbullying and online abuse
- Privacy and security settings for apps and platforms
- Having age-appropriate conversations about online behaviour.
Whether you are looking for advice, conversation starters, or tips to guide safe and balanced technology use at home, the eSafety website is a trusted and up-to-date source of information.

Before & After School
Our school provides supervision for students before school from 8.15am. Students should not arrive at school before this time.
Between 8.15-8.30am, Year 1-6 students should go to the library. Kindergarten and Pre-Primary students should wait with a parent/carer outside their PP classrooms near the P&C Hall until the siren sounds.
To support student safety, students are not permitted in the playground before school.
The school day ends at 3.05pm. Students should be collected or exit the school promptly. Families are welcome to stay on the school grounds after school, however parents/carers must be providing direct supervision of their child. Please be mindful that after school teachers are still working – reviewing student learning, preparing lessons, meeting with parents etc – and we ask parents assist in ensuring any after-school play is not disruptive to the work of staff.
Thank you for your support.
Coming Up – Book Week
Our Book Week Costume Parade will be on Friday 22 August (Week 5). Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite literary character. Please be aware parents do not need to hire or buy costumes - we encourage families to work together using clothing and items already at home to represent that favourite book character.
We are also running our Book Week Reading Challenge, with students meeting the reading target going into a draw for a book prize. This year, we have partnered with the South Perth and Manning Libraries, and students who visit one of the libraries and get their reading challenge sheet stamped will get an extra chance in the prize draw.
We look forward to celebrating Children’s Book Week with our school community in Week 5.
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS COMING!
Dear Parents,
Your school photo day is coming! Every student will receive a personalised flyer to bring home from Kapture Photography containing your child’s unique codes for ordering school photos online.
KEEP YOUR FLYER SECURE!
The unique codes contained on the flyer will be issued only once.
Order EARLY for sibling photography
Sibling photos can ONLY be ordered online. Once you receive the personalised flyers for your children, it is imperative that you order your sibling photo early to avoid missing out! There is a physical limit in the school schedule to how many sibling photos can be taken. Once the maximum capacity of sibling orders has been reached, no more sibling orders can be placed.
If maximum capacity is not reached, sibling orders close 12pm midday sharp, one business day prior to the first photo day.
The school or the photographers cannot accept late orders for sibling photography. Please do not ask as your request simply cannot be accommodated.
Order EARLY for discount photo day prices
Order your photos up to 10 calendar days after photo day to receive discount photo day prices. Late orders are handled separately to the school delivery and incur a $30 custom service charge.
Other information
Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully satisfied with their photo package. Should you have any queries before or after photo day, please check the FAQ’s on the Kapture website.
We request that students who are displaying signs of respiratory and / or gastrointestinal illnesses do not attend school specifically to be included in their class photo. Having students with communicable illnesses attend the photography venues puts other students, school staff and Kapture staff at risk – especially those that are already immunocompromised. Students who are unable to attend school photo day can book a studio appointment at our Malaga office to be photographed during school holidays. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Your school will notify you in a few weeks when team and special group photos are available to view and purchase on the Kapture website. Please note; class, individual and sibling portraits are not available to view online prior to purchase.
All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administration records AS WELL as included in their class group presentation available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.
