Congratulations to our three talented students, William B, Sakeenah A and Heidi G, who have become finalists for the PPYHA —your creativity, historical insight, and dedication truly shine, and we're excited to spotlight your work!
National Science Week
This week we have celebrated National Science Week. This event seeks to promote and encourage interest in the areas of science, engineering, technology and innovation.
Koordjit (Room 6) students were learning about the connection between mathematics and the natural world. Through their mentor texts in reading, we have explored the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio, which underlie the most beautiful patterns in our universe.
Teaching in Moodgar (Room 7) was taken over by the students, who delivered Scientific Show & Tell. There was high energy as students shared a range of experiments including chemical reactions, volcanic eruptions, forces in action, solar systems, and colour and sound demonstrations. A special thank you to the Moodgar parents for assisting their child in prepare.

Tjunguri (Room 5) students used a range of natural materials from around our school grounds to create their very own “mini-beasts”.

National Science Week continues until Sunday 17 August. Information on public events can be found online - https://www.scienceweek.net.au/find-events
