Connect & Respect
Como Primary School is a vibrant and diverse representation of society, where children learn and grow. Every student, staff member, parent and carer has the right to feel safe and be safe at our school.
We all share a responsibility for providing a safe, supportive and productive environment, free from bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence.
The Department of Education initiative – Connect & Respect – assists school communities in setting shared and respectful expectations to enable us to continue to work together in the best interests of our children.
What We Can All Expect:
- Mutual respect
- Good behaviour
- Open communication
- Respect for each other’s time
We Will Not Tolerate:
- Offensive, insulting or aggressive language
- Malicious or judgemental gossip
- Using social media disrespectfully
- Any form of violence
Shared and respectful expectations and values will enable us to work together in the best interests of our children.
Voluntary Contributions
Thank you to the 68% of families have already made their voluntary contributions to the school and the P&C. The contribution for each child is $90 which includes:
- $60.00 Voluntary Contribution to the school; and
- $30.00 Approved Request from the P & C.
Voluntary contributions are used to enhance the teaching and learning opportunities for all students and supplement the funding we receive from Department each year. The school contributions assist in purchasing supplementary material and resources used in the classrooms. The P&C contribution goes towards the Reading Eggs and Mathletics subscriptions for students.
For further information on paying your voluntary contributions, please speak with our Administration Office team or visit our website - https://www.comoprimaryschool.wa.edu.au/parent-information/contributions-charges/
Ramadan
Ramadan is the ninth and most important month in the Islamic calendar. It is a month of fasting, prayer and generosity, observed by Muslims around the world.
We extend our warmest wishes to those in our school community who will be observing Ramadan. Students observing Ramadan are invited to attend the library during the fifteen minutes eating part of the lunch break each day.
