House Swimming Carnival 2025

Last Friday 28 February, we held our Annual House Swimming Carnival at Aquinas College. It was a fantastic day of high-quality performances and great team spirit. The students gave their best in the pool, showing skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

 A huge congratulations to the Individual Champions:

Stirling finished the Carnival as overall House Champions with a total of 224 points! Challenger took the overall prize for being the most Organised House for 2025.

A huge thank you to Chris Twomey, owner and head instructor of Aquafanatics, for his assistance in organising and running the event. The Como PS community really appreciate your effort and hard work in making this event possible. Also, a big thank you to our parent volunteers for assisting with the timing of the day. Your support helped make the day a great success. We appreciate your ongoing support and look forward to the next event!

We are looking forward to the Interschool Swimming Carnival hosted by School Sports WA, due to be held on the last week of this term. Details for this event will be released to competitors in the next few weeks.

Interschool Cricket Carnival

The Interschool Cricket Carnival will be hosted by South Perth PS, this Friday 7 March at Ernest Johnson Oval. Como PS is entering 3 sides, a Girls, Boys, and Mixed team, into the competition. All the sides have been training hard at lunchtimes and in PE classes, with the help of Mr Pascoe and Mr Stephens. Each team will play a total of 4 games against all other schools in the SMPSSA association.

We are keen to get as many parents/guardians as possible on the day, with the first games due to commence just after 9 am. All the teams feel like it is our year to take out the top spot! GO COMO!
