Celebrating Learning – Harmony Week
Last week our school recognised and celebrated our diverse, multi-cultural community as part of Harmony Week. This national event is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, from the Traditional Owners of the land to our most recent arrivals.
Harmony Week was celebrated through classroom learning programs, and our annual Harmony Day Assembly and Cultural Dress Day.

Year 6 Excursion – Supreme Court & Boola Bardip
Last Thursday, the Year 6 classes went on an excursion to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Magistrates Court to learn more about how our legal system works. They then walked to WA Museum Boola Bardip to learn more about our unique Australian history and Indigenous culture.
Highlights of the day included participating in mock trials in the oldest building in WA, seeing a court in action, and of course the giant blue whale skeleton. Students also engaged in artwork representing Indigenous culture and traditions.

The students learnt a lot and enjoyed the opportunity to explore our city, and they recommend a visit to Boola Bardip to everyone.
