A few words from Chaplain Meng
Values Comics
I will be on Long Service Leave from 7th April to 27th June. It will be end Term 2 when I return. Instead of writing Values story which requires my presence and coordination, I tried Values comics with a few older students at the end of last year in preparation for my leave.
Isaac B drew his comics while Andras S was game enough to try creating his by using the program in https://makebeliefscomix.com/Comix/. Andras certainly modelled Determination in figuring out how to use the program to create the first comic figure with it.
Many thanks to the students for working independently on this. Your children are welcome to do likewise. Simply drop the completed work in my mailbox in the library. I shall compile them into a Values Comic book for our school library on my return. https://makebeliefscomix.com/Comix/ has a tab on “Family Fun”. You may want to have a go at creating a Values Comic with your child/ren too. The different Como Primary School values are featured in the Assembly powerpoint. That is a good place to get some ideas for getting started.
Have fun and enjoy the some of the Values Comics by Isaac B and Andras S below:

Values Storybooks
These are the Interaction Questions in our first 2025 Como Primary School Values Storybook on Creativity, now available in our school library. The four others produced last year are also available and every storybook comes with this section. You are most welcome to ask your children to borrow them to read and have a little discussion together. Enjoy and see you end Term 2.
