The Annual Report details the achievements and progress made over the course of the 2024 school year, highlighting the key programs and activities undertaken during the year.

Our Annual Report has also been submitted for publication on the Department’s Schools Online website.

Prefect Fundraiser: Easter Raffle

For your chance to win one or more of these fabulous Easter hampers, you will need to buy tickets that will be on sale from April 3^rd. Our Prefects will be selling tickets from 8:15am outside the Pre-Primary classrooms and on the verandah near the uniform shop.

There will also be a “Guess How Many Easter Eggs are in the Jar” competition.

The Prefects are trying to raise funds this year to purchase picnic tables and benches.

Thank You Como Connections

A huge thank you to Como Connections and everyone who joined us after the Harmony Day assembly for an inspiring and meaningful discussion on cultural awareness at our school.

At this term’s gathering, we:

• Explored the important role of the Cultural Awareness Committee in fostering inclusivity and celebrating diversity at Como PS.
• Gained valuable insights from our EALD teacher about the support available for students learning English as an additional language or dialect.
• Heard from Safiyyah Aziz, a wonderful parent in our school community and Child Psychologist, who shared her experiences on how we can continue to strengthen cultural awareness and connection at Como PS. 

Como Connections meetings happen once a term and are a fantastic way to meet other families, learn more about our school, and contribute to meaningful conversations.

Parents Visiting School During The Day

Parents are reminded they MUST come through the Administration Office if at school during the day. Please do not go directly to your child’s classroom.

It is important the school knows who is on site in case of an emergency, and to ensure student safety.

Community Partnerships – Thank You

A key commitment of our Strategic Pathway 3 – Positive Partnerships & Relationships is Community Connections, and our school and P&C actively work to build and strengthen our connections with local business.

Preston Street IGA are long-time supporters of our school and our P&C, and last week they donated 30 new basketballs to the school for students to use during recess and lunchtime.

Thank you to Preston Street IGA for the kind donation, and for their ongoing support of our school.

Bikes At School

The school has been notified of bikes which have gone missing from the bike cage after school.

We encourage our families to be mindful, and recommend bikes are collected from the shed promptly at the end of the day.
